Indonesia Bekasi – The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWRI) Kota Bekasi branch attended the Sulang-Sulang Hariapan ceremony and 81st birthday celebration of Ny. S. Sianturi Br. Siburian at Grand Graha Delima, Kota Bekasi, on Saturday (17/1/2026). The event was a significant moment for the family to honor their elderly parent who has reached a ripe age with blessings.
Rizal Altis, Secretary of PWRI Kota Bekasi, conveyed congratulations and prayers for Ny. S. Sianturi. “On behalf of the PWRI Kota Bekasi family, we congratulate Ny. S. Sianturi on her 81st birthday. May she be blessed with good health, long life, and joy with her family,” he said.
The Sulang-Sulang Hariapan ceremony was attended by the Sianturi family and relatives from various regions in Indonesia and abroad, with around 500 guests in attendance. The event began with the Pasahat Sulang-Sulang Hariapan dohot Manjalo Ulos Matua, symbolizing prayers and highest respect for the elderly.
The ceremony was not only a birthday celebration but also a moment to strengthen brotherhood, preserve traditions, and affirm the values of faith and love within the Batak Christian family. The event concluded with a joint prayer, traditional expressions of respect, and a love feast as a symbol of joy and togetherness.
